Important legal information

Boliden AB is a Swedish mining company which focusses on the production of non-ferrous metals. The company was founded in 1931 and is headquartered in Stockholm. The group employs currently about 4.900 employees. Boliden’s shares are listed on the NASDAQ Stockholm Exchange in the Large Cap segment. Boliden’s strategy is to be one of the leading mining company in terms of development, productivity and responsibility.

Boliden revenue dropped in the first quarter of 2016 to SEK 6.849 million compared to SEK 10.407 million in Q1 2015. This decrease in revenue is mostly the consequence of a low price environment on the metal market which is challenging for the company. The operating profit dropped from SEK 1.205 million in Q1 2015 to SEK 888 million in Q1 2016. Boliden’s metal production increased in almost all type of metal. Moreover, Boliden has announced on 10 March 2016 the acquisition of a copper-nickel mine from one of their competitors in northern Finland. The acquisition has been recently approved by the competition authorities. This recent acquisition might boost Boliden’s metal output and profit. However, the future development remains to be seen.

Bloomberg consensus set the 12-month target price to SEK 152.74. As of 21 June 2016, the price per share was SEK 154.30 . Currently, 9 analysts set Boliden on BUY, 10 on HOLD and 2 on SELL recommendation.
