FED officials don’t expect rate hike in June

Analysts assume the fed to postpone the rate hike into the second half of 2015. The reason for this is because officials had increased uncertainty regarding the economic outlook. They had no good reason to explain why consumer spending was so weak and whether the slowdown was likely to be temporary or might persist. In addition, the dollar’s appreciation is likely to continue to be a factor, diminishing U.S. net exports and growth for a while. Fed officials will meet again on June 16-17. If the labor market continues to improve and inflation moves back to 2% annual rate target, rates could start to climb. A further delay in the interest rate decision making process could therefore provide a vital environment for US-euqities.
