OPEC meeting in focus, Gold price with low volatility

Crude oil prices are influenced by expectations from OPEC meeting. Gold was trading a little bit higher below the level of 1.300 USD in the beginning of the week.

Crude oil

Crude oil prices gained increases in the last six of seven weeks. Increases since October could be attributed to expectations that OPEC will longer its production cuts.

Gold

After a long weekend in the U.S. Gold was trading with low volatility. According to experts, this could change in near future. Reasons are the tapering actions by the FED.

Platinum

The price for a troy ounce increases in the last weeks. The World Platinum Investment Council (WPIC) reports in its newest quarterly report that in 2017 and 2018 a supply shortage could be present in the global platinum market.
